Shoot 1


Whilst still using a plain white background its amazing how much the subject stands out - the only mood that can be created is by the subject itself. The white allows the model to dominate the photograph and be the central focus.
White is the most pure and complete colour with connotations of purity and wholeness.
It symbolises a blank canvas, which isn't very stimulating to the senses however it opens the way for creation of anything the mind can conceive - in terms of the image above the white background allows the subject to dominate the image and become the central focal point.
Whist reading into the psychology of colours I learnt that white contains an equal balance of all the colours of the spectrum - representing both negative and positive aspects of all colours.
