John Rankin is a very well known British portrait and fashion photographer. Rankin normally works digitally within a professional studio. I liked his work in particular because of his use of colour- he has an eye for using the appropriate colour in contrast to the subject which makes it ascetically pleasing for the viewer to look at. Rankin has the ability to create a powerful image as he gets his models to become comfortable in front of the camera which allows them to act out natural feelings as well as Rankin being able to take a simple shot to create a story of background detail.
