Walker Evans used Large Format cameras, I come across his work whilst researching more into the 5x4 camera. His attention to detail doesn't go a miss, the focus, composition and facial expression all creates quite a dramatic effect.. which was Walker Evans intention to symbolize The Great Depression.
I love the direct eye contact the subject has with the lens, this creates a really intense, serious mood which I personally feel turns the portrait into quite a documentary style.
